Hi Ken.
Two questions for Sarahendipity :-
(1) What are "special effects" people for if not to pull the wool over our eyes?
and
(2) How did this Craven woman determine that one crocodile was a female and one was a male, let alone that one of them had sired offspring?
Three questions, sorry:-
(3) What is the cheapest beer or wine in Yorkshire, in pounds per gallon?

IMHO the biggest danger at Filey, and I speak from experience (Billy Butlin's 1954/55) is the danger of paddling in the shallows with your own mother while she teaches you, eyes-down, to look for pretty shells. Then a total stranger, male, HUGE and strong, comes and scoops you and your sister up and carries to your Dad urging your mum to "get a move on, lass", while one of the four tides sweeps in and cuts off the sandbar from the mainland.
Yes, Dad too had his eyes down, into his book of crossword-puzzles in a sheltered spot.

Cheers, Chris

Pounds per gallon? That's depends on the specific density, and I don't think it's polite to speculate about the density of these people...
Best wishes,
Hans

:clapping: :clapping:

I think that in the UK population density is measured in 2.58998811 square kilometres per square mile(1), he replied, skirting the issue.

(1)When the tide is out.

Sorry, I can't answer your questions. However, although I would not recommend it (review the existing comments on this article and comments on any other article on that domain to see why) you could always create an account and submit your questions via the commenting feature on the article.

I wouldn't have said that the problem was with "local journalism"*, more with the eye(s) of the observer (wherein beauty lies).

About every fortnight or so, our local newspaper's website has a story about a Big Cat of some type observed some distance away in a wood or on a hill, but there are never, ever, any photographs!
The latest story related to a black animal about the size of a labrador seen about 200 metres away. Some of the comments put forward the surprising and unlikely possibility that it might, in fact, actually have been a labrador!

* local journalists blagging a free meal from a newly-opened restaurant in return for a writeup are always good fun to read. One hapless reporter wrote that "he had enjoyed his desert", which sands rather unlikely.

I hope the meal wasn't just deserts...

The meal would be served with a very dry wine.

An excellent example of gritty journalism.

Of course, even a genius can mess up a video press release.
BBC video; start it playing and close your eyes. You can hear Elon Musk say " ... it is possible to make the robot in high volume, at low cost, with higher liability".

Indeed, stories like your one - but without the photograph...
