Curlew in the Estuary

In the style of Stuck, if I may, the Thames Estuary with a flock of Curlew (I think) at the water's edge. Three images stitched together in MS ICE.

Nice.

It's difficult to tell whether or not they are curlews. Can you post a shot of just the birds?

The curlew is most easily recognized by his long beak.

As we first approached I thought it was blackheaded gulls with loads of juvaniles but it was their long beaks that gave it away.

This is the closest I got before they all moved away:
