Some quarter century or so ago, my eldest son was writing an important exam on his way to obtaining a degree in bio-chemistry. It was a ten question three hour exam.
He started on the first question and worked his way sequentially through the questions. As he was about to start the last question, time was called. He wrote 42 as the answer to the final question and received part marks.
