giving my forehead a rest

Post by stuck »

Today I handed back my work laptop and as of close of play on Monday 29th August I am fully retired. Time therefore, after 22 years, to also retire my head banging userpic. I'll upload a new one on Tuesday (30th).

So. You join the host all saying "how did I ever find the time to go to work".
Good health and go well.

Have a good one Ken :clapping: .
I am of the 'old school' and have never looked back. So much one can do as a retiree.

Congratulations on becoming Unstuck.

I haven't been quite able to make it. I work part time with the elderly.

Congratulations Ken

I am trying the "slow down and hope nobody notices that I don't do much work any more" approach, but that is easier for the self-employed than for people with jobs

Today I handed back my work laptop ...
This brought tears to my eyes. (Had you been handed your tools in a sack I would have cried). but I'm over it now.

Undoubtedly a moment of sadness, but I hope that you can stay in touch with those co-workers you want to stay in touch with.

In the meantime you have still a few months "outside" to plan what you would really like to get into next year after a winter of thousands of sheets of scrap paper, pencil, notes, sketches, and discarded ideas.
Indistinguishable from work, if you ask me!
 :chocciebar:

Congratulations Ken. I've been mostly retired (still do a very little consulting) for almost 8 years. Time flies when you are having fun. Enjoy it all.

The new avatar would be complete with the addition of a camera or three.

Congratulations, Ken! Now, ENJOY!!!

Congratulations Ken!

P.S. - Due to the lateness of this reply I've had a chance to see the new avatar. Very nice! Must plagiarize it should I ever get to this "retirement" state you mention myself! Currently just in a state of confusion...
