Silicon Valley watches old BBC "Dr Who and the Daleks" episodes and invents an egg-shaped trundling device which costs $75k a year to run.
The major differences appears to be that the new device does not cry "exterminate" in a robotic voice and it does not have any sort of weapons system.
But, just like a Dalek, it cannot climb up stairs!
