don't be fooled

Post by stuck »

Two photos taken on a short walk this afternoon show that it might still look and feel like summer:

but it really is autumn now:

Same here - a warm and sunny day (23°C / 73°F), but autumn is clearly approaching.
Best wishes,
Hans

It’s been very nice and Sunny here today, and for some reason, probably the unusual cool and very wet summer, the leaves are unusually for late September still almost all very green. It’s very easy to get fooled here, and this year more so, - we often miss out Autumn all together. If it goes on like this much longer, it will be a close thing this year what falls first, the leaves or the snow.

The seasons are 1 month out. Autumn only starts in October these days.

In most of Canada we only have two seasons: winter and road repair.

It must be great to live somewhere where the roads are always repaired.

One some of our local roads you don't obey the UK convention of 'drive on the left', nor do you go continental and drive on the right. You drive down the middle. Unles there's another car coming the other way when you cautiously pull over and hope that there isn't a short cut to the centre of the earth on the bit of the road edge where you end up.
