A nice illustration of how we don't "see" reality, but construct it.

I downloaded the image then cropped out the two halves. Tile the two images one above the other, or slide one on top of the other top, and you can see they are the same but no matter which one you put on the right, they look different.

It happens sometimes when you have a document in Word or a PDF with the same image/logo on two pages looking at the doc in two page-view, and you ask yourself if the images are not aligned or something.
