but sometimes if you are a little lax in dusting away the cobwebs you stumble across something interesting.

Hi Ken.
FWIW I am never lax in removing cobwebs. For the past 30+ years my policy has been to leave them in place; spiders in the house means I have no need for insecticides.

I realised yesterday that after almost 50 years in Canada, I have dropped the habit of kicking over planks, rocks, and buckets before picking them up, to give red-back spiders a chance to escape without their need to attack me.
