but there were no Teddy Bears having a picnic. There were lots of bluebells though.

They often occur in combination with wild garlic.

PS all the ones we saw today were genuine English bluebells

Here in The Netherlands, the English bluebell occurs mostly in the dunes on the west coast, and even there it is threatened by hybridization with the Spanish bluebell.

Our local forest has a fantastic mix of English bluebells and wild garlic. Here is a picture of some of the bluebells from a couple of weeks ago.
