Leave it overnight here and the kids have an ice rink 👍
Many schools flood their sports area with water and have free skating, also for adults though I'm not game to risk my ageing bones.

For a long period I worked in Philips, spending time over the years in meetings at Eindhoven. You used frozen canals for skating. We can use the sea, but not often these days due to climate warming ... how can I say that? It was - 14c this morning 🤔
