a novel way to roast sprouts?

Post by stuck »

Today, the board at the local farm shop declares:

    LOGS AND KINDLING
    SPROUT STALKS

Presumably marketed at those who forget to put their sprouts on back on the August Bank Hol. Monday.

To boil sprouts maybe but if you buy the logs and kindling and build a fire then chuck the sprout stalks on the flames. Woosh, instant roast sprouts??

Why not build a stack of sprout stalks, then use the kindling to light them on fire...
Best wishes,
Hans

Not at all.
This notice is required under the Fair Trades and Advertising Act 1954, rev 1954, 1955, 1956, 1959, 1964, 1972, 1985, 2006 in which anyone advertising vegetable biomass (1985) for sale after a heavy rainstorm in Kent (2006) is required to serve notice that (in this case), the logs, but especially the kindling, may produce living matter in the form of shoots.
"Your money working for you" (at least, what bit doesn't get trapped by the government)

Cheers
Chris

Oh great, Hans. Just Great.
We are still recovering from the after effects of the Franco-Prussian war of 1870, and you have to resurrect terrible memories of the great fire of bruxelles .

nah!
Tried that once.
Cost me an extra hour delay by train, then with the RER spur closed I took the wrong one of the remaining two spurs.
An €80 taxi ride later (plus tip) I was home again.
(grin)
Cheers
