Google services down

As of 7:06, Monday December 14, Google services are down worldwide. Cannot login to the gmail server. No word as to what the problem might be.

I haven't had problems using Gmail today (but I was already logged in)

Google services now restored. No indication as to the problem.

I just did a Google Search and it reported thus:-

So I guess that if Google can report on its being down, or not, then it is not down at this time.

The outage is now widely being reported in news media.

Got klobbered here in Norway ... first I thought my Gmail was compromised but a quick Web search stopped the heart racing

But after restoration, I had to re-enter account passwords etc on Google and Tbird. I guess this applies to all users ... no complaint from me that they were carefully checking after the outage.
