Back in the day, I spent six months in Berkshire; quite a shock after the yearly 300 days of sunshine in Denver.
My favorite UK weather forecast: "Periods of occasional brightness."

Re: Heat Wave
In extreme NW OH I just looked at the thermometer in the shade and it registers 98. Going outside is like walking into a blast furnace. I'll enjoy my 74° in a/c.Timelord wrote: Which is a little better than at home (Cleveland, OH)

Re: Heat Wave
Just spent a wonderful week in Menorca with temperatures in the late 20's to mid 30's, fab! Not a drop of rain. Back in dreary Wales now where it is warm, muggy and miserable :(

Re: Heat Wave
Welcome back!
It's very pleasant here at the moment, the heatwave is over, but the sun is shining abundantly.
Ideal weather for being active!

Re: Heat Wave
Here in Southern California where I live does get a little on the warm side each and every summer. Even though our temperature may appear a little on the warm side for some of you, we are actually below our temperature norm for this time of year and appears that this next week may even be cooler. Our humidity level is usually on the low side during the mid afternoons between 15% to 30% which is some relief. But in those days when the humidity levels rise to 80% + its hard to get any type of relief.

Hey Jude,
I never did go to Wallabyes, but it is funny you mention Westlake. I live and work there (when not on the road)
