Have you noticed that when you hover over a smilie you get the name, something I really miss in some other lounge software.

I noticed this feature as well. It is nice to have it back again! I actually thought it was something I was doing or a problem with the browser when the little title stopped showing up. I guess it wasn't a problem after all since it has now returned!

Have you ever wondered if there is a smiley, but hated wading through 4.05 panels of the things?

And while this topic is still alive, i learned a month ago that (Win11) the <Windows Key> + <Period> offers a pop-up with smileys, for those BBS that don't offer smileys.🫡

...anywhere you need a smiley, e.g. in an email.

Oh, and this feature has been around for a long time, it works in Win 10. Who knows, it might even have worked in Win 7.

I am a slow learner.
I still hadn't mastered the Windows Key in Win7 before I took a forced walk to Win 10, and then another forced walk to Win11.
I could make more progress in Windows if I still wasn't trying to master Word2003 with all its bugs ...

The Lounge smileys are displayed alphabetically by their alt text.

Not having seen the Windows button, full stop combination before, I'm well impressed and this will be my chosen method of adding a smiley irrespective of the listing order!

Plus, in case you've not realised, having pressed Windows key and then the full stop, if you then start start typing your best guess at the name of the emoj huge selection will be predictively filtered.

For example, there's no emoj called 'sausage' but by the time you've typed as far as 'sau', a hot dog emoj is suggested.
