:hello: Goshute

Do I really need to leave the coffee pot alone? I seem to perk along better when I share time with it!
Maybe :wine: would be a treat but can you imagine starting the day with a couple cups of it?

A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent.

I'm probably the only lounger who enjoys this new fangled twitter stuff.

I use it mostly in a local business context (I follow mostly local people) and I post my (almost) daily signboards, and make a little bit of banter. (@subwaybelconnen just in case there's a single other Twitterer in here). It's had some good usefulness.

But I agree that Twitter-like abbreviations don't belong in here.

I too use Twitter, but I only post sporadically. In fact, I have two accounts, one personal one (@Dichotomy6958) and one used exclusively for the novel-writing contest that I help organize at a local level for NaNoWriMo (@SpokaNaNo). I use my personal account mostly to follow some of my favorite blogs, and keep up with some out-of-area friends and family. The novel group account is inactive most of the year, and is used to keep the local writing group updated during novelling season.

I find myself more active on Facebook, but in order to make it tolerable, I've hidden most of the updates about the games/farms/wars, and I refuse or ignore almost all invitations to join in the fun, as well as the "gifts" that require me to allow an application access to my account.

Facebook proved invaluable to me last year when my father ended up in the hospital 400 miles away. I was able to get updates from the family members back home via FB when no one was answering their phones (everyone was at hospital) and pass the information on to more distant cousins and family friends.
