I too use Twitter, but I only post sporadically. In fact, I have two accounts, one personal one (@Dichotomy6958) and one used exclusively for the novel-writing contest that I help organize at a local level for NaNoWriMo (@SpokaNaNo). I use my personal account mostly to follow some of my favorite blogs, and keep up with some out-of-area friends and family. The novel group account is inactive most of the year, and is used to keep the local writing group updated during novelling season.GeoffW wrote:I'm probably the only lounger who enjoys this new fangled twitter stuff.
I use it mostly in a local business context (I follow mostly local people) and I post my (almost) daily signboards, and make a little bit of banter. (@subwaybelconnen just in case there's a single other Twitterer in here). It's had some good usefulness.
But I agree that Twitter-like abbreviations don't belong in here.
