This feller lives in close proximity to our holiday cabin here in Queensland. Unfortunately we have to leave him behind when we return home in a few days.

Unusually for Australia, they are not at all.dangerous.
We had these in our garden where I used to live, as well as blue tongue lizards, another similarly sized lizard. They are very useful to have around, as they eat snails and slugs.

Our 'friend' is about 1 metre head to tail, very inquisitive and because of its size, likely a senior male. Bit like me really, though I lost my tail...
