Re: The Sun
Glorious!
I need this as a wallpaper file to redecorate my humble abode ... "A few rain showers and periods of ice pellets ending this morning then clearing. Fog patches dissipating this morning. Wind north 40 km/h gusting to 60 except gusting to 80 along parts of the coast this morning." (116 Km/hr was yesterday's maximum wind gust)
Cheers, Chris

Re: The Sun
Cheers!
I've got a new filter for use with a white light solar filter. It's a continuum filter. It only lets through light in a narrow part of the visible spectrum in the middle of the green bit at 540nm.
Recording the Sun at this wavelength is supposed to show more contrast and stabilise the image atmospheric bad seeing problems. This image was through high cloud so there is only a hint of the granulation called Faculae but the Sun spots show well. The Sun is very active this week.
With some clear skies and when the jet stream is out of the way and with a bit of practice I should be able to capture more detail.
