I think I had the wrong answer, where I live people say one hundred and one, I have never heard them call it one hundred one. I have put my reward to one side until I earn it :smile:

When writing checks, I had learned that you do NOT use the "and" in 101, but use the AND for the fractional part:

So $101.21 would be written:

One hundred one and 21/100 ------------------ dollars

I would write it to be
One hundred and one & 21/100 ------------------ dollars
