It's a leaf, close up, photographed through a magnifier with a blue filter over the lens.

The :chocciebar: goes to Rudi, it is indeed a feather. I rigged up my Raspberry Pi mini computer with a camera with a bit of juggling and modification pointed it down Jezzarette 2's old microscope.
