iphone se-- Lock Screen delete widget

Was trying to put weather widget on Lock Screen but screwed up and want to remove the widget.
(I tried to take a photo of it but the lock screen disappears too quickly*).
On the Lock Screen are two empty icons and Location access needed (even though Location Services is on).No minus sign
I tap on the icons, nothing happens. I read on Net to swipe up, nothing happens. I forced started twice, didn’t change anything.
Any input most appreciated

*How can I change the timing of the Lock Screen, not the Auto-lock feature?

What do you see if you tap and hold such an icon?

Nothing.

I hope that someone who has an iPhone has a solution for you. I'm on Android myself.
