For the adventurous: CCleaner v5 beta available

Post by HansV »

Piriform has made a beta version of CCleaner v5.0 available for download; it has an updated interface. The definitive release is planned for the end of this month.

See CCleaner v5.0 is now available in Beta!
For advanced users we have a beta version of CCleaner v5 available for you to download. (We don't recommend using this outside of test environments.)
Best wishes,
Hans

TX.
I will wait until the beta label is removed.
I see the interface is now lining up with the flat tiled look of the current Win 8 interface.

Rudi

Yeah - after striving for a 3D look for many years, developers are now following Microsoft's lead to a flatter look...
Best wishes,
Hans

I assume so, but they don't mention Windows 10 explicitly.
Best wishes,

I downloaded and installed in a different folder than the regular version.
Looks and acts like the old product in a new blue and gray package.( yawn )
I DID notice it didn't offer to close Firefox or Thunderbird if it was running. Had to manually close them down.

HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! Those are for the latest regular release version? Yet it was included for the Beta version.
