Handwriting font creator

Post by Hey Jude »

Have you ever wanted to create a font with your own personalized handwriting?
Here is a neat little tool that will enable you to add some personal touches to otherwise
impersonal appearances. This is from Kim Komando's Cool Site of the Day

The problem I have with this idea is is lack of legibility of my handwriting! It would be fine for those who can do copperplate, or other calligraphy.

It would be a neat application for a general practicioner (family doctor) - he could print illegible prescriptions straight from his computer...
Best wishes,
Hans

Don't think it will be any good for me either. Someone handed me a piece of paper the other day bearing my, err, 'script' and asked what it said.

 It took me a while to decipher it

There is a reason computers are so popular. Most folks today have handwritting like doctors.

I once had a doctor friend whose driving was a little erratic. Once she collected someone from the station and after he had been in her car for a few minutes he said "You know, your driving is like most doctors' handwriting!"

On one of my first visits to my current GP, he had a medical student interning/shadowing him. During the visit he wrote me a prescription that I could actually read. The student did an examination using a stethoscope that was actually warm. I was tempted to report them both to the Canadian Medical Association for fraud... they couldn't possibly be real doctors.

Paul
