In general, "the web".
It is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain maps that one can hold in one's hand, carry on to a bus, or pin up on a wall to annotate and plan one's trip.
I'd reckon there would be a real demand for a web-based repository of world maps. But I guess there would be so much copyright involved it would quickly become a nightmare.

Of well ...

I pay an annual subscription to have all the 1:25000 and 1:50000 ordnance survey maps of the UK on my phone. I could get the 1:10000 maps too, but that would cost quite a bit more.

But this is absorbing stuff. Turing Machines have been shunted off to one side.

I have embarked on a learning course based on my self-developed tutorials as I go along.

FWIW I am weighing decisions about
(1) PDF or JPG as source
(2) Expand or Contract
(3) Work in SVG or BMP
(4) Throw straight-scaling job to local printer guy?
(5) Need to edit map to personal use
(6) Definitions of “Zoom IN, “Enlarge”, “Expand”, “Magnify” and so on
(7) Crippling poor quality of some web sources

When is my homework assignment due, please?

Cheers
Chris

We are about 10 miles from the Fort Lewis/McCord Field impact area, so we do hear a few bangs or two sometimes.
The impact area supports the rifle and pistol ranges along with the artillery, rockets and missiles areas.

Then there is Mock City which is near the impact area and they make some noise from time to time.

Both areas get helicopter support with guns and rockets and we do not need any maps for those locations.
