VLC Media Player Easter Egg ?

Post by BobArch2 »

This sign-off image appeared starting today at the end of a video clip. This image appears regardless of the date of the video clip. Never seen it before and the VLC Media player is version 2.2.4 Win64 dated 2016.06.14.

I use VLC too on my little entertainment PC (running Linux Mint). That capped cone appeared recently on the non-playing window of VLC for me too. :xgrin:

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

It's triggered by system dates from 18 Dec to 1 Jan. You can switch it off by going into Tools>Preferences then clicking
Show Settings>All at the bottom left. Then unclick the "Allow Automatic Icon Changes", as shown
