For users of this excellent free software:

"NOTE! Format Factory includes a codec pack(optional) that might cause problems with other video software on your computer."

I experienced immediate problems doing my "usual" conversion to AVI. The new default video codec (H.264 I think) left files unplayable on my TV - used to be OK using the MPEG4 default of the previous version.

:2cents: worth - don't update until this is sorted.
