Pretty nifty feature.
In a fasted paced environment I'm sure you could scale the amount of shots down from 15 to 5? Items covering the hidden parts would have moved sufficiently to expose the "unknowns" of the picture in about 5 shots... I understand though that the more images...the more accurate the finale would be.
LOL...Imagine the tripod moved slightly (with a strong gust of wind..etc)... the end result would be a Blank image
On another note: Some images I'd prefer to include the tourists...they liven up the image and add some more interest.
