Speed up my pc

A mate of mine has just asked me what I think of Speedupmypc for cleaning his Vista pc. I have no knowledge of this software other than what I have quickly read on the internet... any experienced lounger out there please

I don't know this particular software, but there have been many similar products over the years and I have never come across one that I would recommend.

I once downloaded a trial version of SpeedUpMyPC, and I wasn't impressed, I uninstalled it within 24 hours.

Thanks Stuart & Hans ... my feelings entirely. The only one that I do use from time to time is CCleaner and mainly to get rid of piles of 'junk' such as temp files ... I never use it in its 'all ticked' mode.
My mate now has uninstalled the speedupmypc software.
