Last week, some fraudulent digital certificates have been issued. These could be used to install malware. See Microsoft Security Advisory (2524375): Fraudulent Digital Certificates Could Allow Spoofing.
The issuer has already revoked the certificates, and browsers should now block them, but to be on the safe side, it is recommended to update the certificate revocation list on your computer through an update from Microsoft. If you have automatic updates turned on, you may already have it (it was installed on my PC earlier today). It should be offered through Windows Update, and you can also download the appropriate version for your PC from this MSKB article.

For Firefox users, the fraudulent digital certificates have been blocked in Firefox versions 3.5.18, 3.6.16 and 4.0
If using an older version of Firefox you should update to one of the above versions.
