"Your email has only been found in two breaches"

Post by ChrisGreaves »

See your identity pieced together from stolen data

I read through the generic story, then ran through the story again using my email address.
"Your email has only been found in two breaches. Unfortunately that isn't enough to power this visualization."

How disappointing! I had thought that the ease with which I hand out my email and home details, as well as my domains, I would have been breached by all the Big Boys.

I guess I'm not that important after all ...

Cheers, Chris

Same result for me as for Chris.
I have a vague thought that any two people who have corresponded by email are likely to share the same profile-of-exposure.
Not completely, because we are all individuals.
I mean that in the sense that there must be a bias towards like-minded people sharing the same kind of interests. Even being geographically related (not, obviously, in the Bob-Hans-Chris sense, but) that people in the same city are most likely to communicate with other people from that city, and hence bank/insure/shop at the same chains, which chains can be breached.
Cheers, Chris
