Good to hear, Claude. Yes, it looks like Notifications à la mode Windows 10, now that you mention it. I don't use Chrome; guess you downloaded it from Google, and not had it installed together with some other software.

I'm quite confident that the notification didn't get set by any software I installed, everything I've installed was either registered software or software I've been using for years.

I've never heard of softonics before so there's no way I've set it up myself.

Still, I've learned something new which is always good.

And yes, I'm rid of those popups, so I'm happy.
