Interesting positive article on some Norton products

Post by John Gray »

It has been fashionable until recently to be very rude about Norton/Symantec products, but it seems that matters are improving.

Here's an interesting article, albeit brief, on Norton 2010, Norton Ghost, and Save and Restore 2.

Older versions of Norton AntiVirus were resource hogs, but Symantec has worked hard to improve that. NAV 2008 was already lighter, and NAV 2009 and NAV 2010 have a small footprint with respect to memory and CPU usage. They have scored very well in comparative tests of antivirus programs.
Unfortunately some people refuse to look at the facts, and persist in propagating their prejudices...
Best wishes,
Hans

Hello Chris, welcome to Eileen's Lounge!

Symantec must have miraculous powers that its software can break a motherboard!
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks, Hans. To be fair I think it was some version of Norton Utilities and nothing to do with antivirus.
