Gmail - attachments not forwarded

Post by uncle »

Hello -
Gmail settings, Forwarding. I get text but not attachments. The mail is sent to AOL...

Thank you for your suggestions

I'd check with AOL. I've never had problems with forwarding messages with attachments from Gmail.

Oh wait - are you using Gmail on a computer or on a cell phone? There are some reports that the Gmail App for smartphones doesn't forward attachments.
Best wishes,
Hans

As I mentioned, I'd check with AOL - I don't think the problem is on the Gmail side.
Best wishes,
Hans

I believe Hans was on the right track with his suggestion about AOL.

I just sent an email with attachment from my ISP mail account to my Gmail account.

In Gmail, on the web not an email client, I forwarded that message to my regular email account and the attachment stayed right with it... no problem.
