my gmail is asking for 2 step authentications or prompt

Hello all,

I have a Gmail account for years, since August 2024, it sends me a message that I need to say it is me on my phone or iPad and then hit a number on my phone that is shown on my computer screen.

I don't know how to get rid of this step. I turned off prompt and 2 step authentications, it is still asking me for verification. In the past, once in a while, 2 step verification was asked, right now, each time, I want to log into my Gmail, it sends me a code on my apple phone or iPad, I need to keep my phone or iPad nearby, each time I want to login to my Gmail. I hope this makes sense.

I went to Apple store, and they said that Gmail is not their product. I will go to Microsoft store soon.
