Thunderbird email signature

Post by PaulB »

I recently added an email signature to my Account Settings.

This appears on my emails as:
  • --
    Cheers,
    Paul
On reflection, I decided to remove the signature. While the text is now gone, the "--" characters continue to appear. How can I get rid of them? I'm using TB 3.1.5.
Regards,
Paul

Paul, after extensive testing, I can reproduce this if I "accidentally" leave a space in the signature text box. Deleting the space seems to fix the problem.

Thank you, John. I did indeed leave a blank in the signature text box. Removing it as you suggested solved the problem.
