Gmail - opened message is showing below Inbox

Both Inbox and opened messages are showing on same screen. Yesterday I enlarged the inbox via double lines on its bottom. Could that have affected this behavior? tried attaching a screenshot, but when I tried to shrink its size, the kb didn't decrease from the original shot.

A .png or .jpg usually works best. Many graphics programs let you vary the quality of such files.
