Update: Thunderbird 60.0 released

Version 60.0, first offered to channel users on August 6, 2018

Thunderbird version 60.0 is only offered as direct download from thunderbird.net and not as upgrade from Thunderbird version 52 or earlier. A future version 60.1 will provide updates from earlier versions. If you have installed Lightning, Thunderbird's Calendar add-on, it will automatically be updated to match the new version of Thunderbird.

This is a Beta version, 52.9.1 is the stable version.

I normally click TB 'Help' then About Thunderbird and it shows as being up to date.
I wonder what happened to versions between 52.9.1 & this 60.0 version, (if any exist).

As mentioned on the page (and in the first post in this thread), version 60.0 will not be offered as an upgrade from earlier versions; version 60.1 will be.

There are no intermediate versions; Thunderbird skips version numbers from time to time to keep up (more or less) with Firefox.

Point taken Hans, I have never been a lover of Beta versions, so will leave it for a short while.
