I just noticed that the JUNK folder in TB 52.8.0 has a red minus sign. ( see attached ) I don't know what this indicates but I lhave looked for a sub folder and there was none,Tried to rename or delete it in order to create a new JUNK folder but there was no option to do either. Ir seems as though junk mail can be sent to the folder and be emptied out but the re minus sign can't be eliminated? I also tried to compact the folder but no change.
Ideas?

Re: Junk mail folder in TBird
Bob, I think it is just a "Stop sign", or similar (do not enter) (in same way they have put an arrow in the icon for Sent, and a pencil for Drafts).
I don't use TB but it's possible that there might be an option to create a folder and then specify it as a "system folder" for junk mail (or inbox, sent etc.), or there isn't (i.e. that you can't delete one before having another one).

I'm running V52.9.1. I have Trash folders for all my accounts but not any labelled Junk.

That option comes from TB>tools>Account settings>Junk Settings, as shown below.BobH wrote:I'm running V52.9.1. I have Trash folders for all my accounts but not any labelled Junk.
I was able to go into my TB profile>mail folder and delete both the Junk & Junk.msf folders. Restart TB and it created a new set of Junk folders, but still hsd the stop sign ( as Argus called it ) Am I shooting a dead horse here? Yet I have used the smart junk option for years but noticed the stop sign?
Another "going over the hill" indicator?
