Change SMTP Outbound Port

I googled and found a good article telling me how to change the SMTP Outbound port in Outlook to port 587 and since I have a need to do so I am wondering if there are any pitfalls or downside to doing this.

No problems at all, I always change the default port to avoid problems with ISP who block standard ports to "stop people sending spam", as my ISP calls it.
