Sent items default

This may seem an odd question, but is there any way to make my sent items auto default to my inbox? I would like to discontinue using the sent items folder entirely.

It takes a rule firing on outgoing messages plus some settings. See Ultimate Inbox: Merging Inbox and Sent Items folders.
The description is for Outlook 2007 and before.
If you're using Outlook 2010:
- Rules can be created and edited by selecting File and clicking Rules and Alerts.
- Tools | Options has been replaced by File | Options. Click Mail and scroll down to the Save Messages section.
