Marked unread

Post by jmt356 »

It used to be that any email I viewed in Outlook, whether by opening the email or only viewing it in the preview pane, was marked as read after I viewed it. Now I need to actually open the email or it stays marked unread. What did I do and how can I change it back?
Regards,

JMT

See under Tools | Options | Other tab | Reading Pane dialog. (May vary with your version.)

I checked "Mark as read when viewed in reading pane" and even lowered the second count to 1, but they are still remaining marked as unread ...

With the message selected, does Ctrl-Q mark it as read?

It's Outlook 2003. now it's working (perhaps it's because I restarted the computer).

Doesn't genealogy confuse the living and annoy the dead?

No, the dead can not complain when I keep asking for updated information as the living does :flee: :hairout:

The dead may not complain but that doesn't mean they aren't annoyed.

I do not know about that, as I have not talked to any dead people lately.
