Hi
I have a formatted email saved as a template. It has an image header, a table and various colors.
When I double click the .oft and send it it is fine, however, by default I have my digital signature applied to all out going emails. If I leave this on then the .oft file has the image stripped out and added as an attachment, and all formatting ie table & color etc is removed also!
If i send the .oft unsigned, then it is fine, and then if i forward that file from my inbox, and sign it, then that is fine.
Why would the issue only be sending the .oft with a signature? Why is it stripping the format?
Thanks
Problem when signing .oft files

Which message format are you using? Rich Text or HTML?
Best wishes,

Re: Problem when signing .oft files
Sorry, I can't find anything relevant - the only thing I found is that adding a digital signature to an Outlook template in Rich Text format will change its format to HTML, hence my question. But you are already using HTML...
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Problem when signing .oft files
No problem.
I suspect its something to do with security settings. I have the .oft files in a 'non standard' place. will try movbing them to the default templates folder, and look more in depth at the security settings around Outlook.
Failing that, I'll remove the signature!
Cheers

Re: Problem when signing .oft files
If i move to the standard user templates location I have the same issue.
However if i publish the form, then it is fine. I have to do choose from then select it from my forms etc)
when published the form takes on the message class ipm.note though, not a mail.
will think further on this. smacks of security though.
