Is it possible to change the default meeting reminder from 15 minutes to something else?

Outlook 2007 or before:
- Select Tools | Options...
- Make sure that the "Default reminder" check box is ticked.
- Select a time from the dropdown list.
- Click OK.

I have not managed to find a way to change the default reminder for all day appointments. this is a pain because the default behaviour is to set an alarm for 6AM the previous day, and since I synchronize my Outlook calendar to my mobile phone, this sometimes leads to disturbed sleep.

This default cannot be changed, despite thousands of requests from frustrated users.

From Set or remove reminders:
For all-day events, the default reminder time is 18 hours in advance. Although you can't change the default for all of the all-day events you create, you can change the reminder time individually on each appointment.
(This is for Outlook 2007 but the same holds for other versions)
Best wishes,
Hans

And it is a REALLY stupid default, who wants to be reminded at 6AM about something that happens a day later
