Search items box not working

I have noticed just this last week that my Outllook 2007 Search Items box is not working.
I type in an A and it comes back saying "No matches found for a"
Any ideas?

I have solved it, tho don't know why.
I enabled logging, exitted Outlook and it worked.
So I disabled logging and exitted Outlook again and it worked.
