I am running Outlook 2003 SP3 in the default security mode on an XP OS.
Recently I find that some messages fail to display the pictures. Neither the "Click here to display pictures" nor the "Add sender to 'Safe Senders List'" expose the pictures. Saving the message as an HTML document then opening the saved file with FireFox displays the message, pictures and all.
Is this a bug? Has a switch been improperly set during some recent housekeeping? I had 'Nerds on Site' in recently to clean up my system.
TIA

Re: Doesn't display pictures
If you search Google, this problem plagues many people, but without any consistent pattern. Along with the things you have already tried, other suggestions are clearing the browser cache, repairing your Office installation, and others, but there doesn't appear to be a clear solution. Sorry!
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Doesn't display pictures
The mystery has been solved by a clue found in this post. It appears that Office applications will not recognize FireFox, consequently one must leave IE on-line.
