Income Messages Going to Delete Folder

I'm using Outlook 2007 on an MS Exchange Server. Yesterday morning I discovered that all incoming messages were going directly to my delete folder. In some situtations this could be a good thing but non-the-less I'm looking for a solution.

I do have "rules and alerts" which have been working fine. One thing that I have tried is deleting all the "rules and alerts" but the problem still persists.

I have not found a solution on-line.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Does your anti-virus program have an e-mail scanning option? If so, does it make a difference if you turn it off?

Do you have add-ins installed? If so, start Outlook with the command line

outlook.exe /safe

If the problem goes away, one of the add-ins is the culprit. Start Outlook normally again, and disable the add-ins one by one to find out which one causes the problem.

The anti-virus program installed on my laptop does not scan e-mail.

I tried your suggestion of starting Outlook in safe mode and the e-mail messages are still being diverted to the delete folder.

Is there anti-malware software running on the Exchange server? It could be moving email to the deleted folder.

Also, check with the Exchange admins for Exchange rules being run.
