Images in emails not displaying in Outlook 2010

I have read the fixes mention here: 1 the Trust Center is not checked to not display images - neither is any other setting in Options; 2 In internet explorer the Options setting is also not checked.
So, I am currently stumped, help will be appreciated - thank you.

Just to make sure:
- Open a message that you received.
- Select File > Options.
- Select Mail in the navigation pane.
- Click 'Editor Options...'
- Select Advanced in the navigation pane.
- Scroll down to the 'Display e-mail content' section.
- Make sure that 'Show picture placeholders' is NOT ticked.

Other options after scanning the web...

(Note: I have no idea if these will work? But if you are desperate....)

Go to Outlook Options:
File > Options : Mail > Message Format
Uncheck the "Reduce message size by removing format information not necessary to display the message"

In the Command Prompt window, try running:
sfc/scannow
Then also use DISM to repair corruption that SFC could not

Thank you to all who have assisted. I ended up completing a clean installation of W10 and Office 2010 - issue resolved.
