Cross platform operation

Post by RonH »

If I change a settings feature, using say my Android tablet, the change is not reflected across to my Android phone or pc. If I delete an email, again not reflected. Is this normal or is there some setting that I have incorrect?

I primarily use Gmail which always 'looks as one' but this Outlook.Com seems limited in operation.

Do you log in with the same account on all devices?
Best wishes,
Hans

Hei Hans,
Yes, I only have one outlook.com account. Looking again at it, I may be wrong because the problem seems to be one of 'long delay' before other devices 'catch up'.
From your question I am concluding that outlook.com should 'co-operate' across devices in much the same way as gmail?

I think so, but I hardly use Outlook.com; I use Gmail as my regular email system.
Best wishes,
Hans

Agreed!
Sorry to take up your Saturday time when there are more important things to consider ... like cycling :thankyou:

Don't you need a boat for that? I cannot even imagine cycling through a marsh?

Your outlook.com account email will sync across devices. The timing of the sync is dependent on the software used on each device. You may be able to change the sync settings on each device.

Thanks Joe. Seems its my synch timings so an easy fix.
Cheers Ron
EDIT Nope ... not easy. I was confusing with Gmail Setting flexibility. No big deal since I do not use Outlook.com much.
