Appointment Assignment
I occasionally receive emails with a date and time specified in the body of the email message. Is there an alternate way of creating an appointment other than dragging the email message to the calendar and selecting the appropriate day and time?
Regards,
John

Re: Appointment Assignment
Do you mean that the appointment should automatically pick up the date and time from the email message?
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Appointment Assignment
As far as I know, Outlook cannot do that. You'll have to set the date and time of the appointment manually.
(I've seen Gmail create appointments in Google Calendar automatically, though)

Hans,
Thanks for the reply! I didn't think so but never hurts to inquire.

Re: Appointment Assignment
I like to use the "Reply with Meeting" button in the read window. As Hans says, I too doubt there is a way to get Outlook to auto set the date/time from info in the message body, but copying the date time info to the date time text boxes is fairly quick and easy when in the appointment/meeting window.
