Personal Folders shows up twice in navigation pane of Outloo
My Personal Folders shows up twice in navigation pane of Outlook 2003. I right click on each instance to remove one of them, but “Close” is grayed out. How can I remove one of them?

Try creating a new e-mail profile in the Mail control panel.

How much time and work would that imply? I have a pst and six archive folders and have already taken a lot of time in configuring everything as it is (window panes, various email accounts set up, etc.) and would want to avoid repeating reconfiguring everything.

If it's too much work in your opinion you might decide to live with it. I can't decide that for you.

Can you suggest a rough estimate of the time it would take to create a new email profile if I have a pst and six archive folders?

Depending on how handy you are, five to fifteen minutes perhaps.

I forgot to mention I have 5 email accounts. I would have to configure all of the Pop 3 details for each of them individually when creating the new profile, thus increasing the time it would take, right? There is no way to copy all of the settings from the old profile to the new?

That is correct, you will have to enter the login details for all your accounts.
