Outlook emailing all of my old messages
On my server, I have emails dating 2 years back. When I transferred over my .pst file, I got all of these emails. However, when I set up my account on Outlook, Outlook tried downloading all of these old emails, even though I already had them in my pst file. Please note: this was only happening for one of my email accounts; the others were only downloading new messages (i.e., messages not downloaded as of the day I migrated to the new computer). Is there a way to get all of my accounts to download only new messages?

Re: Outlook emailing all of my old messages
This is email from a privately-hosted web site. In any case I fixed this by downloading all of the emails and then deleting them. Then in the Internet E-mail Settings dialogue box, More Settings button, General tab, I changed the Mail Account name to match that of the old account. So now all new emails go into that account on Outlook and the old emails are no longer downloaded.
